UNESCO has listed Melaka as The World Heritage Site .It covers :
- Melaka River
- residential and Commercial areas of
- Jln Tun Tan Cheng Loke
- Jln hang jebat ( Jonker street)
- St Paul's Hill civic zone with St Paul's Church,Porta de Santiago (A Farmosa) fortress and Stadhuys complex
This means :-
- more funding for conservation and preservation of work
- maintaining the authenticity and integrity of Bandar Melaka
- more tourists / hotels
